RARE/FAMOUS BLOODLINES IN THE PEDIGREE OF YES MASTER
Our Stallion YES MASTER (ID) is one of a handful of
the living purebred Irish Draught grandsons of "Glenside" RID in
the world, the only sire in 1978 to represent the true blue
bloodlines of Prince Henry one of the original founding stallions
entered into the Studbook and establishing the Irish Draught Breed
in the late 1800. Yes Master’s pedigree contains exclusively Irish
Draught blood for four generations on both top and bottom
guaranteeing Irish Draught phenotype and his dam is a granddaughter
of “Marita” one of a handful of RID Irish Draught mares to be
entered into the current studbook.
The introduction of known Thoroughbred blood occurs
in his the fifth generation on his sires side and comes from a 15 2"
hand Irish Draught Stallion “Glengarrif” RID, born in 1935, who was
out of the half bred mare Forest Moon by Forester, here his
bloodlines trace back to one of the most famous Irish thoroughbreds,
"BIRDCATCHER" (1833) from the Family #11-D and from
there can be traced back to the Darley Arabian in his twentieth
generation.
The Darley Arabian Sire line has had phenomenal
success in Grand Prix Show Jumping, Eventing, Steeplechase, and on
the flat, produced the Hanoverian sire "Lugano", the Holsteiner
Stallion line "Ladykiller", the KWPN "Calypso" , the Irish Draught
"Clover Hill", as well as the Cheltenham Winner in 2002, 2003, and
2004 "Best Mate", and the Thoroughbred racing sire lines of Turn To,
Royal Charger, Polynesian, Native Dancer and the list goes on and on
with most of these horses between two and three generations removed
from the Darley Arabian behind Yes Master by Glengarrif’s dam Forest
Moon from her grandsire Oxford (1857) and her great granddam,
Castaside (1834).
Yes Master’s pedigree has added concentration of the
Darley Arabian from his bottomside, by way of BIRDCATCHER’s sire,
SIR HERCULES, via his dam "Glen Heste Goldie " where in his eighth
generation the Irish Draught "Galty Boy” comes from the thoroughbred
blood of "The Minstral" (1888) which also goes back to the Darley
Arabian Line through the Whalebone Branch Family #2-t. The Sir
Hercules sireline is a very influential in the pedigree of many
jumpers, grass horses, and steeple chasers, today.
Yes Masters Pedigree includes CADE, the most
important son of the Godolphin Arabian in the grand scheme of
things, Cade (b.c. 1734), Blank (b.c.1740), out of the Little
Hartley Mare by Bartlett Childers, and Janus (b.c. 1738), noted as
the sire of imported (Old) Janus, who was a tremendous sire of
quarter mile runners in colonial America.
Yes Master has a phenomenal concentration RID blood
for five generations and the very best TB lines producing jumpers
today, as a sire he will provide both type and phenomenal pedigree
for your Irish Draught, Warmblood, and Thoroughbred crosses.
